Caring For Your
Tagua Guitar Pick

Tagua lasts a long time if it’s treated properly. Here are a few tips to keep your pick in the best possible shape:

  • -Please do not try to bend the pick; it may snap if too much pressure is applied
  • -Do not put it in your wallet.
  • -Try not to put it in the same pocket as your cell phone
  • -Try not to send it through the washing machine; If it does get wet, please allow it to dry for a few hours at room temperature before playing again.
  • - It may be an organic nut, but don’t try to eat it. Seriously.
  • -If you’ve played your pick enough that the tip or edges aren’t as sharp as you want it to be, go ahead and use an Emory board on the edges. You’ll lose some coloring and some material, but your attack will return.

Shipping

We’ve shipped to every state in the U.S., every continent in the world and to dozens of countries. Shipping is via USPS. Upon completion of your order you will get a shipping notification with tracking. PLEASE REFER TO THE MAP IN OUR FAQ SECTION BELOW FOR DOMESTIC SHIPPING TIME ESTIMATES. International orders, please be aware that arrival time of your purchase depends on many factors like your country’s customs processes, and distance from the US. Also, please be aware that sometimes the shipping notification is not updated once the package leaves the US.

How Thick Are Your Picks?

All of our picks are considered extra heavy with no flex at 2.2mm-2.7mm thickness on average. We ship randomly within this range - so the picks you get will be between this range.

I PLAY THIN PICKS AND THESE SEEM TO BE PRETTY THICK. CAN YOU MAKE THINNER PICKS?

Our picks are 2.2mm and above. Some guitar players are used to thin picks which flex and the most common thickness is 0.73mm. So, our picks are considerably thicker. We don’t make picks less than 2.2mm because tagua is not meant to be flexed. Because it is very dense and produces a clear vibrant tone, the picks feel great even at this extra heavy thickness. We’ve seen countless players convert from their thin flexible picks to thick picks after making the switch.

Can I get a free pick?

No - however, we do have a 7-day trial - buy it and if you don't like it, send it back and we will refund.

MY PICK CURLS WHEN I PLAY IT FOR A WHILE, IS IT NORMAL?

The answer is yes. That’s the natural material reacting to the heat and moisture in your hand. The thinner the pick, the more it curls. The pick will curl around your finger, but after you put it down it will flatten back out. However, if your pick is curled without you playing it, please contact us.

Do you make Custom Orders or can I buy in bulk?

If you're looking for a custom pick shape or idea, we can help at a minimum of 15 picks or more. Use our contact us form to reach us.

I'M BUYING PICKS FOR SOMEONE ELSE AND DON'T KNOW WHAT SIZE THEY USE

In MOST cases, the safest bet is the Standard size pick. Our standard pick is the same size as most guitar picks on the market. Even if the musician you’re buying for uses a differently sized pick, they’ve most likely used a standard sized pick at some point in their life. While the standard size pick is the most popular in the world, the Jazz III would (in our opinion) be the second most used.

I'm buying These as a Gift Do you include invoices showing price in the package?

No, we do not include any information regarding your purchase in the package - it's a waste of paper anyhow.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY PERSONALIZED GUITAR PICK ORDER?

It depends on a few factors. As all of our guitar picks are hand-made, it takes time to produce each one, and while we try to keep up with our production, stock varies with the time of year and other factors. We also personalize picks in batches, so as more orders come in, more orders get personalized. In short, personalized orders take about 2-4 days to process.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SHIP MY ORDER?

Shipping within the USA is processed by First Class Mail in a padded envelope with tracking information (which we provide to you once the package is shipped). East coast shipments can be 1-3 days, where the rest of the continental USA is about 2-5 days. Priority mail is more expensive, but quicker. See the next question for a detailed map. International shipments depend on your country’s customs policies.

WHEN I TRACK MY SHIPMENT, IT SAYS IT DOESN'T EXIST?

That’s because we processed your shipment, but it hasn’t been scanned by the US Postal Service or the tracking information hasn’t been updated on their system. It can take 12-24 hours for the USPS tracking system to process and update the status of a package. Please be patient.

WILL I GET AN ORDER CONFIRMATION & SHIPPING NOTIFICATIONS

Yes, you will get an order confirmation email upon initial order completion. You will also get an email when your order ships.

If you do not get an email from us, please check your spam account of your email provider. If you still haven’t gotten an email from us, please contact us and we will resend.

MY PICK BROKE...WHAT DO I DO?

First, dry your tears. Second, it does happen. The meat of the tagua nut is gelatinous before it dries, so this may result in some inconsistencies in the density of each pick. Plus, each guitar player has a different style which may lend to more breakage for one person over another. If your pick breaks within 7 days of receiving it, please contact us immediately. We strive to give the best customer service available, and we most likely will be able to replace your pick quickly.
