Hello Monkey Fans!
Our guitar picks are made from a nut imported from South America called Tagua (read more here). Tagua is also known as "vegetable ivory". Ivory in nature, tagua nuts wear down very slowly without scraping or chipping. Our guitar picks produce a clear, vibrant, and warm tone, illuminating the sound of the instrument, not the pick. Being an ivory-like material, you can take pride in knowing our picks haven’t harmed animals or the environment.
Our proprietary designed grooves are cut into the pick to provide grip, for additional grip we’ve also laser engraved Howling Monkey on the back side of the pick at a specific angle providing ergonomic support and comfort. We bevel the guitar pick edges to increase attack and speed. Our grip and bevels combined is considered by many the most comfortable pick they’ve ever played. A unique attribute to tagua nut picks is that the heat in your fingers reacts with the pick and makes the pick curl around your index finger for even more control and comfort. (The pick will return to its original shape once it cools down.)
We take great care making the tagua nut picks, shaping and cutting them to the desired dimensions and ensuring the highest quality. We can take custom orders...if you would like a specific dimension or thickness; we can make them to almost any spec. Head over here for our custom order form.
